RSC introduces its new year-round character curriculum entitled "GET A G.R.I.P." Hailed by education professionals and parents alike this easy-to-use, "Plug & Play" format allows busy teachers the opportunity to teach insightful lessons that challenge students and strengths their grip on their own character development. Each lesson is supported by "action-based" activities that reinforces and deepens the students understanding of character choices. Just like in rock climbing, these lessons build upon one another while guiding students towards success.

GET A GRIP on character education with Rock Solid Character's complete YEAR ROUND CHARACTER CURRICULUM!

Rock Solid Character (RSC) is divided into 8 character qualities plus the Rock Climbing experience. Each character quality has 4 specific lesson plans or 1 lesson plan per week. The eight character qualities (one each month) are:

2. GET A G.R.I.P. ON RESPECT
3. GET A G.R.I.P. ON RESPONSIBILITY
4. GET A G.R.I.P. ON HONESTY
5. GET A G.R.I.P. ON TRUSTWORTHINESS
6. GET A G.R.I.P. ON CARING/COOPERATION
7. GET A G.R.I.P. ON PERSEVERANCE
8. GET A G.R.I.P. ON COURAGE
R.S.C. CLIMBING ROCK LESSON PLAN


The four lesson plans within each of the eight character qualities follow the acronym, G.R.I.P. Each week's lesson plan provides different activities associated with the lesson plan. One or more of these activities may be utilized according to time allotted. Other activities may be substituted by the teacher.

stands for "Recognize this character trait in the world around you and in others"
stands for "Identify ways this character trait can be shown and represented in your classroom and in life"
stands for "Plan and practice this character quality in the classroom and in life"
